Stabilization
LDB provides pasteurization services to help ensure product safety, quality, and shelf stability. Our process is designed to effectively reduce harmful microorganisms while preserving the flavor and integrity of your beverage. Whether you're producing small batches or large production runs, our team delivers reliable pasteurization solutions that meet industry standards and support your product's success in the marketplace.
Tunnel Pasteurization
-
Zero Recontamination Risk: Because the beverage or liquid is pasteurized inside its final, sealed container, there is zero risk of it picking up bacteria or yeast from piping or filling equipment.
-
Extended Shelf Life: It effectively eliminates spoilage organisms (bacteria, molds, wild yeast), allowing products to remain stable on shelves for months without requiring chemical preservatives or constant refrigeration.
-
Flavor and Nutrition Retention: Modern tunnel pasteurizers use gentle, controlled heating curves designed to kill microbes while preventing the breakdown of delicate flavor profiles, color, and nutritional components.
-
Maintained Carbonation: Unlike flash pasteurization, this post-package method allows carbonated drinks (like beer, cider, and seltzers) to maintain their desired CO₂ levels without excess foaming or pressure loss during the filling process.
Preservatives
Chemical preservatives such as:
-
sorbates
-
sulfites
-
benzoates
are used to protect products from microbial growth and contamination. Generally used for products requiring a high level of carbonation where tunnel pasteurization is not an option.
Cross-Flow Filtration
-
Filter yeast from fermentation products
-
Clarify and reduce haze
-
Nominal sterilization through 0.22 micron filtration
